Rock, pop and country songs alike would fit well over this drum track. A straight ahead groove, the snare falls on 2 and 4 with the kick drum playing on the 1, the 3, and the "and" of 3. It is accompanied by hi-hat on the 8th notes, both closed and open. Occasionally in this drum track, the drummer plays a quick fill or the beat drops out for a bar or two. Everything is kept straight and simple, but played big and with authority. A bridge with no snare brings it down for a few bars about three minutes in.
