This R&B drum track starts out with some syncopated cross stick grooving with a quiet hi-hat and kick drum. It keeps grooving on this with a few variations slipped in, then ride cymbal and snare bring the dynamics up. It settles into a new groove with snare and hi-hat and a few off-kilter fills before bringing back the ride. There is a break that goes into an almost march-like snare bridge for a few bars. The dynamics come way down for the outro, which is still played quietly on the snare.
