An extended intro on the kick/snare/toms and splash and crash cymbals sets the tone on this track - a big and beefy mid-tempo kick/snare/hats rock groove that sits snugly in the pocket, and features a variety of excellent, well-timed fills on the toms/snare/kick, with the cymbals adding extra flavor. During the second part the ride comes in hard and bright in place of the hats, and is noticeable in its absence when it drops out, giving the track a nice loud/soft dynamic between the two parts. At 2:47 there is a short rest that feels like a false ending, only to come blazing back with a panned run on the toms/snare/kick, and then it's back to the heavy ride groove which continues with extended fills until the end. Big rock fun.
