This slow to mid-tempo rocker starts out with a back beat under an open hi-hat, which then switches to a closed hi-hat to bring it down for the verse. The kick drum sticks to mostly quarter notes with 8th notes every other beat or so, then becomes a little more active during the chorus, which features a ride cymbal being hit in quarter notes. After the chorus, the intro beat returns, then comes down to the verse again. The choruses are preceded by a quick pre-chorus section with a fill. Eventually, crash cymbals make the beat huge as the kick is hitting most 8th notes. A fill brings it back to the verse. The drum beat goes out on a loud note with the chorus pattern.
