This track has a very distinguishable triplet pattern on the bass drum that's very distinct to the hip-hop and R&B genre. It starts with just the snare and the kick drum, but soon some 16th note-based hi-hat hits give the track a signature sound. The snare is replaced by rim clicks as the track takes it down a bit, with hi-hat pedal work highlighting the funkiness. The groove only gets better as the snare comes back and the track kicks into full dance hall-caliber goodness as a perfect snare fill brings it back down to rim clicks and soon the kick drops out altogether for a couple bars. A little over three minutes in, a four on the floor bass drum pattern leads into a ride cymbal section that closes it out.
