With sparse beginnings, this drum track opens up with just some cymbal hits, which become light and very quiet. About 45 seconds in, the cymbals slowly get louder and a big kick and snare back beat comes in. It comes down to a slow back beat with a closed hi-hat that hints at 16th notes, then returns to the ride cymbal. After a few bars, the ride bell is hit on the upbeats. The sections are bridged by brief drop outs in the beat with just cymbals and a fill. One verse features some hi-hat pedal work. The fills are all huge sounding and simple. The drum beat ends again with just cymbal work.
