This track lays down a dirty, downbeat funk groove that could work great with a bouncy funk song or a New Orleans-style jazz tune. The sparse snare placement makes the groove less forward-driving and more laid back, while alternating ride and hi-hat patterns make for distinct sounding sections. Later on, the snare starts a standard backbeat pattern as the ride cymbal continues in a hard swing.
