This track features a straight-ahead, no nonsense backbeat. It's a laid-back groove with just enough variation that you could listen to it all day long and not get tired. The kick drum is punchy and the snare is tight and bright - the work on the hats and cymbals is deft and subtle, working within the context of the song perfectly. The track comes to a complete rest, (could be used as a false ending) at 2:52, which is punctuated by the boomy sounding toms until finally dropping back into the groove at 3:06, and pocket-riding to the end.
