The track starts off with a cool up-tempo rhythm using the kick, snare, toms, and a whole lotta ride. This part definitely stands out in the way that the toms are syncopated, hitting on the four (upbeat) which gives it a Beatleesque vibe (I'm thinking "Tomorrow Never Knows" from Revolver.) At 00:25 it transitions into a more straight-ahead backbeat for the second part, with fills coming from quick rolls on the snare, and then a short breakdown to the hats leads into the third, stripped down part without the ride, and with the crash and splash cymbals coming in to accent. About halfway through the track there is an extended fill with a cool panned run on the toms, snare and cymbals. The track moves between the three parts adding interesting variations, and the rhythm change-ups and breakdowns give it a great dynamic.
