This track wastes no time and dives into a bluesy up-tempo shuffle after a quick introduction on the snare and cymbals. The rhythm is a rock solid kick/snare backbeat with fills coming from quick build-ups that add a thick layer of cymbals onto a double-time snare, with variations on the cymbals adding additional color. There are a couple of quick rests at 1:21, 1:58, and 2:58 where the track breaks down to the hats and snare before jumping back into the groove. The ride comes in at times, and the splash and crash cymbals go to work with an occasional short fill on the toms rounding things out. The ending is great -- a classic big finish that could be from any mid 60's Motown recording.
