This track starts out simply, with the sound of a closed hi-hat on the one, until a quick fill on the snare/toms/hats drops it into a heavy, down-tempo backbeat. A punchy kick drum and open-sounding snare are prominent features, with fills coming from the toms and crash/splash cymbals. There are a few subtle rhythm changes, and about halfway through the track the ride comes in hard, building urgency, followed by a breakdown to the hats punctuated with short snare/kick/crash fills, until the groove takes over again, and builds in a swirl of cymbal and kick, with the toms and snare overlapping. Finally, the song breaks back down to the hats, ending like it starts, and finishing off with a swell on the splash cymbal.
