This track starts with the sound of a wide open snare on the one, and then drops into an uptempo kick/snare/hats shuffle. The work on the hats is especially impressive, blazing in double time and really setting the funky feel for the song, while the kick and snare hold down the backbeat perfectly. Transitions come from breakneck toms fills, when the song shifts gears into various breakdowns that keep it fresh with variations-- sometimes dropping down to just the kick/snare or even the snare alone punctuated by an occasional shot from the hats or ride cymbal Uptempo and chill all at the same time.
