This song opens with a solo hi-hat groove which sets the mood for the piece. At 00:25 it drops into the second part - a laid back kick/snare/cymbal rhythm with the kick holding back on the one, and a few quick fills on the snare/crash cymbal. At 1:03 it rides the kick into a solid backbeat featuring an open-sounding, reverby snare. It drops back to the hi-hat groove at 1:30, followed by a short rest and then back into the second part build-up with some interesting variations in the fills. At 2:59 it drops down to just the kick and occasional snare, until a fill on the toms takes us back to the backbeat, and pocket rides until ending on the crash cymbal. When you're a star you don't need to hurry, and you always travel in style - laid back and cool.
