This is your basic rock groove, good back beat with a hard hitting snare sound, hi-hat on the 8th notes, kick drum on one, three and the "and" of three. The hi-hat opens up for a bigger sound, and some simple fills decorate the drum beat's groove. When the hi-hat is closed, the drummer opens it slightly each time he hits the snare. A third section has the ride cymbal keeping time. This drum track has a bridge where it gets quiet and the snare is missing for a few bars.
