Starting out with a tension-filled kick and 16th-note hi-hat groove, this drum track busts out into a funky groove with a super-tight snare sound, which quickly switches over to a ride-cymbal groove with a different snare timbre. Sections are filled with energy and frenetic fills, with busy and active parts. Halfway through it dies down in dynamics a bit as the snare disappears for a little while. The whole drum beat ends on a tight fill.

My writing often starts with a bass/drum groove. Previous drum track offerings I've found online are usually tedious MIDI patterns. This is an excellent drummer playing with taste, precision, phrasing and development - and it's darn good audio quality to boot. It sure beats hiring a drummer and setting up all the mics to record!!

Of the three tracks I downloaded, I started composing a tune with this one first. I was very pleased to find this website and the ability to use top drawer drum tracks is totally sweet. As for the drummer, Northside is an inspiring player. Intricate, yet not too busy. Truly awesome!

I am writing an album at the moment and was sat infront of the computer with a guitar going through your drumbeats and, as with so many of your beats, this beat gave me an instant usable idea which is now a complete song. The playing is world class, top standard and there is around three or four variations on the beat within your track so there is so much dynamics.its great to let this beat 'do the work'.i cant tell you how your beats have transformed my existing work and are providing inspiration.the kit sounds beautiful and the fills are clever, tasteful, tight and creative and there is a sweet ambience.
