This track jumps right into a hectic funk groove, complete with ghost notes and a big, open hi-hat played on quarter notes. After the intro, the hi-hat closes and the groove tightens up and gets even funkier, which leads into a quick break and a hi-hat fill on the upbeats. Next, the pattern switches over to the ride, and the embellishments and funky fills continue every couple bars. The beat switches between the hi-hat and ride cymbal, with lots of advanced, fast fills along the way. A little over two minutes in, the kick drum drops out for a few bars, then comes back in, keeping the beat funky for the rest of the track.
