The 6/8 time signature offers a refreshing sound on this track, and will certainly raise eyebrows. We start out with a machine-gun run on the snare before being taken to the groove by a quick fill on the toms/crash cymbal. The main groove features nice work on the hats, a snappy snare and nicely balanced kick. Great dynamics and panning making the track feel open, with good separation between the individual drum sounds-- just like they used to do it in the 80's! Add in a lot of cool turn-arounds, breakdowns, and lots of variation on the original theme and you've got a real classic in the making with this one.
